The Parker Partnership in the 21st Century, in what is now the City of Brighton and Hove, was formed in 1986 by the merger of two practices, Parker Challis and Arbenz (from Brighton) and Pollins Raynor and Boxall (from Hove), from which Chris Arbenz and Liz Raynor continue as partners. Stephen Monk joined the merged firm later in 1986 to manage audit services and became a partner in 1988.
In April 2000 we acquired the Paul Bouch and Co practice (also in Church Road, Hove) and Paul maintained his contact with the firm as a director of two of his old client companies.In January 2001,the Hove practice of Crouch and Co joined the enlarged firm with David Jemmett as the continuing partner. This renewed some old associates as Ricky Patel, our associate partner,had worked for Crouch and Co before joining Pollins, Raynor and Boxall and Susan Higginson - David Jemmetts secretary - worked for Parker Challis and Arbenz in Brighton before joining Crouch and Co in Hove.
There are certain specialist skills for which there is insufficient demand for us to retain in-house specialists so we have made a point of ensuring that "we know a man who can" or, in our case, two ladies who can ... Hilary Allen is our VAT consultant and Ruth Prosser of James Associates in Hove is our Human Resources Consultant. We are also members of two networks which give us access to other specialist services and representation throughout the UK and parts of Europe"
